Shove the niceties

I need people to break it down for me because apparently, I’m clueless. How can insisting there’s only one way to be not be seen as having a superiority complex?

You can be one way. I can be another. And we don’t have to punish one another. You can think of “nice” as one way. It’s your opinion, but people make it a fact and punish others by taking away resources like jobs and housing. That’s the problem.

For some reason, many care about being seen as nice. I don’t. I’m just me. I don’t perform, so there’s no wanting to be seen a certain way. But they care about being seen as nice.

Here’s the thing. What’s “nice” to me isn’t nice to someone else. If a person can’t see that, then…okay, we are done. Narrow-minded? Lack of imagination or creativity? What is the issue? They might think small talk is nice. OMFG. These people still exist. Hide your kids. Oh, am I being dramatic, or is this my life?

I wish small talk were the real issue. I don’t really care about it that much. Maybe it’s because I’m not in an office daily. Not sure. But small talk is a common example. I care more about aggressive things like knocking on people’s doors when it’s not an emergency because WTF.

Rude much? But they are just being nice. Can I please have one place that’s safe from social expectations…like my house? JUST ONE SPACE if that’s fine with you, Sally. Because it’s all about the people who define what is nice. But they don’t think they define things. They make room for different opinions and different ways of being.

Isn’t that nice?

So I’m fne. I’m good. I don’t want my nervous system on alert 24/7. Not because high cortisol levels have ruined my life or anything. Do they even know what it’s like living like this? But I bet they are “nice.” (But to whom, exactly?)

Stop defining things. Or just accept the supremacy label. I give people options because I’m nice. See how nice I am? Look at me!

They can take their fake crap and shove it. And their kindness has caused trauma and damage. Some people have murdered in the name of kindness, so how can people really believe there’s one way to be…is mind-blowing.

People will never learn because no one is holding them accountable for the harm they have caused. It’s acceptable.

Must be nice.

This could have been better, but I’m tired. Have other things to do, but had to do a subpar blog post first.
