I wanna feel guilty

It’s strange to me that people can annoy the crap out of me, and I rarely get the urge to say anything to them, and some people are the exact opposite. And I’m thinking, I ignore all the things you do and just rant to myself. Why do you feel the need to tell me every little thing? And I probably don’t care.

So, stop already! For this coworker, it is definitely a personality thing because they do it in team meetings and other group things. And I’m always there going, imagine if I said all the things that I wonder about or piss me off at work! LOL.

Anyone can think whatever they want. I welcome bad thoughts based on reality (and not just perceptions and assumptions), but I will never nag a person. EVER. Well, if I was married…ugh. Or even had a kid. Living with someone is different, but I’ve never done this with roommates or my mom, sister, dad, etc. But marriage is probably different.

Don’t want to harass someone? Don’t want to be a nag? Don’t want to be a tattle tale? Don’t say anything also known as STFU! To me, it’s like they have a compulsion, or they could be the rare person who doesn’t care what others think (like me), but the things they nag about often show they care what others think, so no, this is why I say it’s like a compulsion.

They know people call them a tattletale. They know people hate this about them…well, hold up. A lot of people aren’t self-aware, so assuming everyone knows would be wrong. It seems obvious to me, but a lot of what is obvious to me is a mystery to others. Especially “normal” social behavior.

By the way, I’m not saying they should care. I know most of them do. No one should care about this. But they do. The same way they care about wanting to appear successful and like a good person.

And no, I don’t think it would be good for me to express my thoughts to them. But if she keeps nagging ME, we will have a problem. This just started. From now on, I will have a cut-and-paste response for her, and I know she’ll eventually stop. I will be truthful, of course. So, I might have to change a date or something. But same response every time. Some days I might not respond until hours later or the next day.

I don’t care. Get a real problem. Go away. We live hundreds of miles apart. Thank g-d. She’s persistent, but that crap doesn’t work with me. Try again. And you will get the same cut-and-paste response. Have fun!

Books of the Week

I only finished reading one book this week, but I’m reading a few books I’m loving. Finally.

The Loyal Friend by A.A. Chaudhuri (Fiction). My rating: ★★★★ (4 stars). Really enjoyed this book. My only critique is too much talk of childhood trauma. It’s a fiction book, and it’s not just her, so reading about it in so many books makes me go enough already! And in this book, it becomes repetitive, so not just one chapter; it’s a lot. Other than that, it was a decent mystery suspense book.

Quote of the Week

Living in a different world…and being content is a thing. SHOCKING to many. And criticized. But whatever.

Peak’s sense of belonging, found by being alone rather than within the world of others, is pertinent, given that for decades autistic individuals have been described as being ‘in their own little world’ as though this was a negative trait. Maybe, with the insights from autistic adults about the joy of this chosen solitary world of revery, we can begin to understand that it’s not always such a bad place to be after all.
