Think Too Much

contemplative woman standing on balcony

“You’re probably addicted to thinking…”

Umm. We know most people don’t have that problem. Sorry, had to go there. Not really sorry. I have to be honest.

I’m not referring to people who have severe anxiety, btw. It’s interesting how people confuse thinking with anxiety. What does that say? My point exactly. Can’t even think without people trying to diagnose it. Interesting.

Another no pressure entry? Yep. No pressure or no motivation? Or no executive function? lol. I got everything done on my to-do list done on Saturday. But not today. Ugh. But I’m not surprised. Two days in a row of getting done just doesn’t happen for me anymore. I don’t make long lists, but the problem is work eats up most of my time and energy. So, when do I get things done? The real answer is never…for most things.

Books of the Week

The Wife Across the Street by James Caine (Fiction). My rating: ★★★ A book this short shouldn’t be so bad. I only finished it because it was short.

The Stone Sisters by Margot Hunt (Fiction). My rating: ★★★★ Better quality than most 4-star books I’ve read recently, but not great.

Best Offer Wins by Marisa Kashino (Fiction). My rating: ★★★★ (4 stars). Diabolical. What a ride. Good beginning and ending. But I didn’t care about a lot of the middle. I almost stopped only because I was reading several books and this one didn’t seem like a must-finish, but I’m glad I finished. None of the characters are likable, but the author did a decent job of making it still readable. Love the dark humor.

Quote of the Week

"Let me alone-let me alone all of you!"
Raskolnikov cried in a frenzy. "Will you
ever leave off tormenting me? I am not
afraid of you! I am not afraid of anyone,
anyone now! Get away from me! I want
to be alone, alone, alone!" Fyodor Dostoyevsky

I want to be alone, alone, alone! Amen.
