Could be Like Magic

Nice not to be forcing myself to write here daily, but it’s the weekend, so I’m back! And very tired. I never expected November to be the month of no sleep, but I can’t predict it. It seems to happen 3 or 5 times a year since I can’t get the “right” medication. Supplements are okay, but they can only do so much for a high-cortisol issue.

I finished my eBook! In the past, I would have given it away for free. It’s short, and I finished it in ONE WEEK, so… it should be free, right? Plus, everyone is going to copy it since there’s no eBook for this topic (that I found). So people will copy it, as they did with my tarot stuff in 2020. But it will be quicker now because you just give it to an LLM and tell it to copy. I would charge $2.50, but I’m thinking $5.00.

What?? Only billionaires will be able to buy. I should feel ashamed, but YOLO. Maybe $4.25 or $4.75? How about $3.99 so people can use “pay in 4”? (Don’t get me started on how the credit companies want to PUNISH people for using pay in four, even when you pay on time. Just because you use it, your credit score can/will go down temporarily. That’s BS for many reasons, but then I reminded myself that I don’t care about my credit score. But what about other people? All of them are profit over people – credit cards, loans, credit scores – so it will never make sense to me.)

The Magician

I think my eBook will be priced at 3.99…and I got the idea from something I did for the November Brain Dump Challenge! Not going to say it’s worth it and that I’ll do it again, because that’s not true. Anyway, the eBook is done. Now I have to put it in my online stores, make mockups, and ugh.

Will I make $10 with this book before the end of the year or nothing? They decide.

I will probably have everything done by Sunday. If not, for sure by Thanksgiving. I’m thinking about turning it into a paperback, but that requires more hours of work. And I have other stuff to do. So, maybe by January 1 it will be in paperback. I have 3 older paperback books (on Amazon only – cringe – due to the only formatting I know). Not sure how many books I’ve sold. Between 5 and 15. Probably 8. Or 9? I don’t track it. It’s not about getting rich or making a lot of money.

And I pulled my favorite tarot card today! The Magician which basically says I have all the tools I need. WTF. Perfect timing. And the eBook is done! Woohoo.

I’m basically waiting for something bad to happen at this point.

This Week…

Music of the week: I listened to very little music this week so I will just list the top 5 most listened to.

Beyonce, Brothers Osborne, Christina Aguilera, David Guetta, Demi Lovato

Books of the week: Haven’t finished a lot of books this month, but I have been reading a lot. Since, I’m not doing a monthly post, here are the books I’ve finished reading in November:

  • Shore Lodge by Susan Oram. Not at all as advertised, but I still found the book okay. Better than average. But the blatant lying about the book’s genre is something I have never seen before! After I finished reading the book, I was shocked at how it’s being advertised. I’m not the only one. It’s not a psychological thriller at all. It’s a drama with a little mystery. Using the word mystery lightly because the author didn’t try to hide much, so this is a regular fiction book. Not bad…But not as advertised. Rating: ★★★ 1/2
  • Top Brain, Bottom Brain: Surprising Insights into How You Think by Stephen Kosslyn, G. Wayne Miller. It’s a very short book on how people think. After reading this, I wasn’t surprised to see bad ratings. (I don’t research most books before reading. I don’t want to know too much.) It’s overly simplistic for a book supposed to be about the brain, but I read it as a personality test book, NOT science…and it wasn’t that bad. Quick read. Rating: ★★★ 1/2

TV of the week: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives – I’d heard of this show, but never watched it. My mom convinced me to watch it. Not the best stuff, but I’m watching it. Need to cancel Hulu in 2 weeks, so I have to finish all the shows that are currently streaming. Thanks, mom.

NBD Challenge

The November Brain Dump is a challenge I created for myself in 2025 because I’m notoriously bad at documenting things. This will get me to journal either here or in my private journal every day of November. There is no theme. On days when I have nothing to say, I’m tired, or my brain won’t work (common state of mind), I have a random list of prompts to choose from. Enjoy the NBD challenge. It’s no big deal.
