Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.
– George Orwell
I’m midway into my November writing challenge. What have I learned?
- There’s no need to blog here every day.
- There’s no need to journal in my private journal every single day.
- I need another way to document things since my memory is almost non-existant. But journaling daily isn’t the answer.
- Blogging here can be fun, though. So I will aim for (at least) once a week.
- This has confirmed that I don’t like writing about many things unless I have time to do it. A real journal entry or blog post from me is usually long.
- Most journal prompts are bad. So bad. Especially if you have a bad memory.
- I like providing downloads within entries.
- I still love lists.
So, this is kind of the end of the November Brain Dump*. I probably will do another challenge in the future, but it can’t be rigid like daily posts or posts with lists. I like to go with the flow. I say no to structure.
*but every post for the rest of the month will probably have the NBD tag. Just because…#flow. And I’m not wasting these new winter images.
The November Brain Dump is a challenge I created for myself in 2025 because I’m notoriously bad at documenting things. This will get me to journal either here or in my private journal every day of November. There is no theme. On days when I have nothing to say, I’m tired, or my brain won’t work (common state of mind), I have a random list of prompts to choose from. Enjoy the NBD challenge. It’s no big deal.
