Like many people (probably most), I don’t do all the homework in online courses. Unless I have to. But I’m taking an astrology course and I’d never done an assignment like this so I spent about 30 to 45 minutes doing it on Monday.

On Mondays I feel a little free, because I only work my PT job for 30 minutes. I used to skip working for them on Mondays, but if I get sick one day during the week I immediately regret that. I don’t know how people with chronic illness/disability have “batch days.”

I’m considering trying batch days, so I don’t have to plan out each day. However, if I only do astrology homework on Mondays and I’m not feeling well on Monday, then I get behind. I have to finish this course by April 2027 to get a certification, so there is a real due date. That sounds so far away, but it’s a lot of info and some do it in 6 months. Two years is the MAX. I think I’ll try batch days for May. I will only plan one thing daily besides working my 2 jobs. It might work as long as I don’t get too behind in anything or too bored with doing tasks based on a day.

Just for reference, real task basking is grouping similar tasks together, which is NOT what I’m doing. I’m just picking seven things that would be good for me to do a week and then picking a day to do it. I don’t have it planned yet, but Monday will probably be for astrology homework, Tuesday for newsletter creation, etc. Some call that regular planning, but not for me. I might share my ideal weekly plan one day. I prefer to do things when I have the energy to do it. That works until it doesn’t.

The point of this post wasn’t supposed to be batching tasks (ugh! Am I seriously going to do that?) But sharing my homework because I’ve never written anything like this. It was so fun. Why can’t I just quit both jobs and learn? That would be heaven. But I’m in hell. So…

Here’s my astrology writing from this week. The first section below is about how I relate to those planets, and the second part is how the planets relate to the generation. Like everything I post here, it’s not edited. The sentences are run on. No transitions. Basically, I just answered the questions…and put them in a paragraph, like the directions said. How’s that for too literal?

How I Relate to the Personal Planets

• The Moon: I often don’t trust my intuitions and rely on my logical side. But I will occasionally get answers from things I’d been wondering about and that may fall under intuition. People have called me intuitive, but I’m unsure of why. I tend to not express intuitive things to people I don’t know because I don’t have facts or logic to back it up. I express my emotions much less now with age. I was emotional when I was younger. I have a horrible memory for everything including emotional memories. I rely on patterns to learn things and figure out what will happen next. I love dogs!
• Mercury: I don’t communicate in the traditional way. When I was younger, people often would react with surprise when they heard how deep my voice was. Overall, I resent traditional modes of communication for being the “right” way. I’ve been scammed a few times. I love learning. I’m a slow information processor and have bad motor skills. I’m also not detailed oriented.
• Venus: I mention Venus a lot in daily life because I love beautiful things. Especially beautiful things that are also practical. I love different types of art and creative expressions. In relation to Venus and the body, I don’t have the best kidney function.
• Mars: I don’t like knives and I’m bad at using them. I’m not competitive. Passion and not getting punished motivate me to take action most of the time. I tend to hold anger in until I feel that I can’t anymore. I try hard to not have outbursts. I tend to write my anger out and it usually works if I am able to pause and write.

The Outer Planets and “Our” Generation

Time isn’t linear for me so it’s hard to see generational influences, but I’ll try.

• Jupiter: My generation tends to value education. During the last few years, I think the overall value of education isn’t seen as much or questioned more. I think some critics see overindulgence in society as a bad thing to judge.
• Saturn: Overall, society is bad with learning lessons that take place over a large period of time. A lot of history repeats. Procrastination is extremely common in many. I think it’s probably not the worst thing ever because most people get stuff done even if it’s at the last minute. In 2025, people in the US are hating any perceived control. There’s also an perception that the structures aren’t there anymore. And there is a misperception that everyone is only relying on themselves and no one else can/should affect them. I rarely see people acknowledge that limitations exist. “You can do anything you put your mind to.“
• Uranus: There have been a lot of shocking events in my lifetime. Unfortunately, many involve death like 9/11, mass murders and the COVID pandemic. Inventions like the computer and cell phone have drastically changed the way of life. There have been many electricity issues during my lifetime. In the United States alone: Texas and Puerto Rico etc., We often have shocking results in elections and sporting events. In America, there’s been a great respect for freedom. Not sure if that’s considered generational but the need or talk of it wanes and waxes from time to time. In the last 15 years or so, many talk of the rise of extremism which is partially due to the people being able to easily communicate on the internet.
• Neptune: There’s some Neptune in any generation. Not sure of any generational differences especially since it’s a 165 year cycle. People want to feel good and not deal with reality. It’s a coping mechanism. People often point out that politicians are out of touch. But it’s not just them. Most people seem to only know of people who are similar to them and react in disbelief that someone has had a different life experience.
• Pluto: Some politicians and business owners seem to have an infatuation with power probably because they are so close to having it. Many people feel threatened whether there’s a real threat or not. There are many conspiracy theories. In the past decade there have been studies that show how the trauma from past tragic events like the Holocaust and slavery affect people today through generational trauma.
