If you had the power to change one law, what would it be and why?
No required overtime is way too selfish. I don’t think most employers abuse it, but I may be wrong. The death penalty isn’t legal in my state, but I disagree with it because I don’t think the state should kill people, but even without the death penalty, their laws let people die. So, what’s the difference? And I know how bad the criminal “justice” system is, so why would I agree with it? Innocent people have been killed and in the future will be killed if any state has that allows the death penalty.
Easy question. In my state, I would change the no parole law. Why? Become some people should have a chance for parole. As (most) jails are now, they are inhumane. But what do we do with someone who would keep killing people, raping people or harming someone in a way? We don’t have anywhere for them to go. Other than jail, so…there ya go.
Other than crime stuff, what law would I change? I don’t think the IRS should count canceled debt as income. The older the debt is, the more ridiculous the thought of paying taxes on it. But that is the company’s fault. They have to fill out a 1099-C form. They aren’t getting the money. The IRS is getting the money. It’s a bad law. And I don’t like what Biden did to the bankruptcy law. Yes, I must name names. LOL.
I don’t like a lot of laws. I follow them…most of the time. I follow them to the point that I have been financially hurt my the laws. If I had waited, I could have gotten more money, saved money, etc. I speed more now than I did even five years ago. My patience is so low these days.
I hate being a rule follower, but I’m also a questioner. So if a rule or law doesn’t make sense, I will tend not to follow it unless the penalty is harsh. But most of those are rules, not laws.
Make it make sense. I’m a logical Lolly.
