Lawyer? Where I live, an employer can’t be sued. I hate how litigious Americans are. BUT, I should probably give them a break. They need money to survive just like me. However, I don’t agree with suing doctors for malpractice in every case. ARE DOCTORS EXPECTED TO BE PERFECT? Is the person suing perfect?

I just feel like some people take advantage of suing. If someone did something on purpose, fine. But if a doctor makes one mistake a year…uh, isn’t that good odds. I would kill everyone because I don’t know how

This is the only time I’m on the side of the rich. Seriously, I would have a problem suing someone and taking EVERYTHING. But a corporation? I’m not going to feel bad for a company that makes billions are millions.

When I think something is morally wrong (like required overtime) and doesn’t make sense*, I have a hard time doing it. Suing a doctor won’t bring back a dead relative. But if suing will help someone who got messed up by a doctor’s mistake get a 24/7 nurse they need, then I’m ok with it.

*Required overtime makes sense for the company, but they should have the correct number of staff. If they could outsource us they would, but there is a law that says they can’t. Other parts of the company have been outsourced. Without fearing I will reveal the company, I can’t say a lot more.

Anyway, I am going to write to my senator about this. I know they can’t do anything, but I have to do something. I had no say. They moved me here in 2020 (from another department), and I don’t think I signed anything about required overtime. But by now, I’m sure I have. It doesn’t really matter because required overtime is legal except for some or all nurses. I don’t know if that nurse’s law is federal or just in California.

Man, California has the best laws. They have a Medicare type thing, so if you are a freelancer, lose your job, are disabled, or whatever, you don’t pay a lot for health insurance! They really look out for their workers…even where I work, there are special laws only for them! I hate Los Angelos (only been there once) and San Francisco is way too expensive, but California is a big ass state. I’m sure I could find a city there that is okay. I’ve never thought about it. I prefer the East Coast (not the cold states) or Texas.

I’ll put research California on my to-do list. There has to be one city that is somewhat okay. I’m not joking.

Gotta go. For now. I might break all those tips down, but I’ve had trouble focusing, and now I’m somehow in the flow and ready to work. So I can’t finish this post.
