I don’t have enough money to make it until next week. But I think my dog’s “insurance” will be flexible and allow me to pay it after my next paycheck.
This city is asking for too damn much. Most of these people here live at the poverty line or under. So they have no money. They have very high taxes. Where I used to live where most of the people made way more than me, had lower taxes, and you didn’t have to do all this crap for an ONLINE business. Why the fuck do I need a home permit to have an ONLINE business? I’m not even selling physical products.
This is so annoying. The company is giving us this Friday off for the 4th (and not Juneteenth). I wanted to get all this city shit done, but I don’t have the money! AND then they want a check or money order. Ma’am, it’s 2022. WTF is a check?
Sigh. So I have to go to dumbass Wells Fargo and buy 3 checks for god knows what. I think it’s $10 or something? I would order real checks and send them to my mom*. But I’m going there on Tuesday, and there’s no way the checks will be there by then.
*I don’t trust getting checks here. These people have stolen my rocks, one Amazon package, and my security camera. So I will not order checks here. But I probably don’t have a choice. I’m not returning to my mom’s until the end of September due to gas prices. UGH. I think the city will want all 3 checks.
Who the fuck has checks? So I should be fine. But anything could happen. All of this is because they found out I had a business (from the IRS). So I may owe them MORE taxes. Then that would be 4 checks. LOL. Fuck. Btw, I don’t have the money, so everyone will have to wait. I moved here in November 2021. So they can only get taxes from November and December. I know I made a profit in November. I can’t remember December, but I probably did.
This year, I’m not making a profit so far. I was burned out during the beginning of 2022. I didn’t market at all. I have 3 clients. I’m afraid to take on anymore because I don’t have time, or what if I burn out and get sick again?
There’s still a chance I can make a profit in 2022. Anyway, I’m still going to file taxes for my business this year because that will LOWER my taxes even if I don’t make a profit. I already checked the numbers. So I will have to pay the city all these stupid fees again. But at least now I know.
DIFFERENT DAY
Oh wow, I had a lot to say. But now I’m really worried about being able to pay my bills. I’m off tomorrow. I have to call the utility company to ask them if I can pay a week late. And I need to call my dog’s insurance for sure.
I’m in desperate mode, so here are some affiliate links and products. I use or have used everything listed. Here is a way to support me without giving me money directly. I appreciate any help. Thank you.
Products
This store will close around July 20, so please download it as soon as you buy it.
Digital Reading Tracker/Log (Not meant to be printed. Works great with Goodnotes)
Morning Pages Journal and Planner (same as above – DIGITAL)
For Coaches/Virtual Assistants/Service Providers – Done for You 10-Day Email Series on How to build an email list It’s not really a template because all you have to do is add your own links.
AFFILIATE LINKS – Business
- Social Sprout for all social media posting. Used them. The only issue I had was trying to post with mobile. They didn’t send me a reminder. Was it my phone’s settings?
- HoneyBook is a CRM. With this link, you can use it for $1 a month for 8 months (new ppl only). I think there is a 7-Day free trial.
- Namecheap I’ve been using Namecheap for all my domains for about a year. You can get a .com for $5.98 a year.
- The best email resource for email marketing for the price. I think it’s $37.
- FlyWheel is the only way to use WordPress, IMO. Great customer service.
- Get a Wix website. I have only used the free version.
Self-Care
- Headspace – Best known for meditation, but also has stress tips, yoga, sleep, and mindfulness. 14-day free trial.
- Fitbit Sense – I don’t have this. LOL. I can’t afford it. I do have a Fitbit Luxe. I’m going to cancel the extra tracking that I use every day in August. The Luxe is great, but the battery only lasts for about 4-5 days. Probably closer to 4 days. It doesn’t take long to charge.
Shopping
- Amazon – Link to the front page. Buy anything from my link and it will help. I had to cancel Amazon Prime today. Can’t afford it.
Books
- Audible – I already canceled Audible 5 months ago. I have it back. If I get a new client or make money elsewhere, I might not have to cancel Audible again. I love Audible Plus. OMG. That is the only reason I don’t want to cancel. Audible Plus allows you to listen to books without using a credit.
- A few of my fav. books – Salem’s Lot by Stephen King, Of Mice & Men by Steinback, An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison, Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
Planners
- The Planner Pad is one of my favorite planners. I’m obsessed with planners. I will buy you a planner for your birthday even if you don’t use paper planners. Anyway, great for people with ADHD. I don’t know why. The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t enough space for business stuff, so I’m trying a daily planner because I need more space. Good for students or keeping the home organized etc.
- RocketBook Reusable Notebook – Not a planner, but an erasable notebook. Many people have recommended this to me, but I can’t buy it now. I hope to have it within the next few months. This notebook can be used endlessly by wiping it clean with a damp cloth. It can also connect to Slack, Google Drive, and other apps.
I could go on, but it’s 10 PM. Gotta go to bed and make phone calls so I can have somewhere to live. Sigh. Thanks so much to anyone who uses these links!
This Week I…
Music of the week: Carrie Underwood, John Mayer, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Destiny’s Child, Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone, Katharine McPhee
TV of the Week: Wimbledon, Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy
Podcasts of the Week: The Vanished, Truth & Justice, Up & Vanished, The Piketon Massacre, Unlocking Us with Brene Brown, Dateline, Pod Save America, Morbid, The Astrology Podcast, True Crime Garage, Father Wants Us Dead, Women and Crime
Books of the Week: I finished Divergent Mind: Thriving in a World That Wasn’t Designed for You by Jenara Nerenberg I loved it. But it is from a very privileged point of view. Everyone she talked about was upper class. Probably making 6-figures or near it. BUT I love learning about other people. Other neurodiverse people, so I enjoyed it, but don’t expect a diverse viewpoint from this book. Rating ★★★★ 1/2 (four and a half).
Gotta go. Will do a better post soon. Hopefully. Have a nice weekend! I’m staying in on Monday. That is all I know. I have my eye appointment on Tuesday. Even though I have insurance, it still costs me $39 because she forces everyone to get their eyes checked for cholesterol and diabetes. She told me I had high cholesterol last year on July 4th. Um, I still haven’t told my doctor. I haven’t had a cholesterol test. This is too much to remember!! I won’t get paid by then. I considered canceling, but I already have the day off.
Oh, I had a mammogram last week. No results because they are comparing my results to my 2019 results. I have a lot of cysts or something. Blah. No pain because I took a bunch of children’s Motrin! Highly recommend!!
Really going. Have to plan all the phone calls tomorrow.
