Wow. It’s been a long time. I probably didn’t blog because I didn’t want to memorialize this horrible move experience. I hate going back to my private journal and seeing a horrible day. I haven’t delved into it in this journal or any journal.
Things are somewhat okay now. I’ve been in this house for about 18 days. It feels normal to me. But I adapt to things easily. When things aren’t secure often, you have to adapt easily. I laugh when people talk about change. Yeah, I know change.
The park situation is ugh. However, I found the best park. My dog and I went there yesterday. The garden is so nice and quiet…at 10 AM on a Saturday (!!). It started to get crowded around 11:45, of course. But the garden was still quiet because it’s close to the zoo. Forget the garden! We are going to the zoo. I have a dog, so I’m sticking with the nice garden.
That park is about 12 minutes away. I’m still looking for a neighborhood park so we can go more often. I keep finding parks with no parking or parks with just a playground. There are so many parks here. There has to be a way to say this is a real park versus a neighborhood park. The county has over 100 parks on its website. I thought, “Wow, I will be in park city.” Uh, no.
I’m off tomorrow for Juneteenth. And it will be my last go around to find a more local, good park. I think the issue is that I live so close to downtown (or I may be living downtown….).
The neighborhood. It took about 2 weeks to find a place to walk my dog. It still isn’t great. Walking is my exercise, and now I only have a 15-minute walk. There isn’t a sidewalk. I remember seeing the house and thinking the worst thing is there is nowhere to walk my dog. Sigh. Still true.
Some people are private and stay in the house. I love these people. And on the side where I walk my dog, they are outside doing yard work and other stuff. All the time. I will survive.
This blog post seems full of fluff. But the park thing is really bugging me. It’s not a huge issue or serious problem. It’s just annoying. I hate being lost in my car.
I’m supposed to go to the office before the end of June. Unless someone says something, I’m not going. I saw the office building yesterday. It’s downtown, and guess what? I didn’t see parking. I think we would have to park on a deck. I don’t know. I will email the building person if I have to go.
I have to go. I have stuff to do. I need to do business tasks, pick up the sticks in the yard, and organize the place a little.

Music of the month: Joy Oladokun, Shania Twain, Yola, James Kennedy, Schena Marie, Taylor Swift, Carla Rae Jepsen, G Flip
TV of the month: Vanderpump Rules, Jury Duty,
Books of the month: I’m reading Farily Tale by Stephen King. That will take a long time. Since I last posted, I finished the following:
- Poverty, By America by Matthew Desmond ★★★★ (four stars)
- Unmasked: My Life-Solving America’s Cold Cases by Paul Holes ★★★★ (four stars)
On Unmasked – Decent. I agree with a review I saw that called this book superficial. It lacked so much depth that it almost wasn’t worth reading. The best part was one of the saddest. Learning more about the writer, who I can’t remember name…she died from an accidental overdose. For some reason, I thought she died from cancer.
Podcasts of the month: Truth & Justice, Who Killed Bob?, Crimelines, True Crime Garage, The Vanished Podcast, When Reality Hits, Dateline, Mindshock, The Real News Network
Gotta go. For the past two weeks, I’ve been doing required overtime. Make it stop. UGH. I’ll be back when I can be a human instead of a robot.
