while I’m here, I wanna allow myself joy

What an um, interesting vacation from work. I blogged 3 times this week. I never do that anymore! I mostly stayed in. I got a lot of studying done. That is what I’m mostly thankful for. It is amazing what I can do when my mornings are freed up. I guess I am a morning person?? hmm.

On Saturday I went to a garage sale and flea market. For about $30, I brought a bunch of yarn (see pic below), 5 blouses/tops, 4 pairs of jeans and one plant. There wasn’t any yarn at the flea market 🙁 so I probably won’t be going there again. I knew there would be yarn at the garage sale because she posted what she had on Craigslist. I’ve never been to a garage sale. I was so anxious about going but it was fine. I have always wanted to go to one. I love used things. Flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales…

I got really lucky with the clothes. Three items were new with tags. Name brand too. She also likes to shop at Macy’s. Awesome.

Today I went to the gym for the first time since October (!!!!). I went to a Body Step class. I don’t know why I keep trying step. I’m bad at it. I won’t be going back next Sunday…or probably ever. I’m glad I went today though.

Weekly

Music for the week: Ed Sheeran, Lucy Hale,  Mariah Carey,  Lana Del Rey,  Natalie Merchant, Heather Nova, Ellie Goulding, Miranda Lambert

TV for the week: World Cup, Pretty Little Liars, Big Brother, Orange is the New Black

Quality TV watching for the summer. 😉

Movie of the week: Her. I was expecting something different but it was alright. I thought the main character would be asocial. He wasn’t. Joaquin Phoenix is one of my top three “current” favorite actors. He is very talented.

Books of the week: Die My Love by Kathryn Casey (true crime)

Knitting projects of the week:  I have 3 things on the needles but I only worked on two things this week. I made a little more progress on my lace scarf since I last posted:

It started out fun. Now it is getting a little tedious. It is perfect knitting to do while watching the World Cup (or any sporting event). I really want to try this scarf with different needles and different yarn. I know it can look better.

I just started this Easy-Fit Ribbed Hat yesterday. This will take a while. Not much progress to show but here is how the yarn looks:

Back to work tomorrow. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! 😉 I needed this break. My dog is doing better. YAY for that.
